Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device including a display portion that outputs the display with four or more colors and having the higher opening ratio.SOLUTION: The display device includes an image display panel which outputs display with four or more colors in combination in accordance with the input signals. The image display panel includes a plurality of pixels including three or more subpixels, and this number is fewer than the number of colors. The pixel includes one first subpixel 49L including the largest display region among the subpixels, and two second subpixels 49U and 49D including the smaller display region than the first subpixel 49L. The subpixels included in one pixel output the different colors and one of the second subpixels 49U and 49D outputs the high-luminance color with the highest luminance.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
