Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an active matrix type display having a pixel structure that achieves a high aperture ratio by making suitable arrangement of a pixel electrode formed in a pixel part, a gate wire and a source wire, and without increasing the number of masks and the number of steps.SOLUTION: The display includes: a gate electrode 751, 752 and a source wire 753 on an insulating surface; a first insulating film 754 on the gate electrode and the source wire; a semiconductor film 755, 756 on the first insulating film; a second insulating film 759, 760 on the semiconductor film; a gate wire 772 connected to the gate electrode on the second insulating film; a connection electrode 761 for connecting the source electrode and the semiconductor layer; and a pixel electrode 767 connected to the semiconductor layer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 13
