Abstract:
To provide a display device that reduces a user's effort to set account information when the user views content.SOLUTION: In a content viewing system, a display device 1 connected to a home network includes: a communication unit that communicates with a mobile terminal without going through a network and communicates with a content abolition server on an external network that provides a content distribution service via the home network; a display unit that receives distributed content and displays reproduced video; and a control unit that controls the communication unit and the display unit. When the mobile terminal is connected to the display device, the control unit acquires account-related information associated with the content distribution service provided by the content abolition server held by the mobile terminal, and uses the acquired account-related information to perform authentication processing related to providing the content distribution service. When the mobile terminal is not connected to the display device, the control unit invalidates the acquired account-related information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
