Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of display interference and damage of a liquid crystal display element by receiving the stress applied on a case by ribs so that the stress is not directly applied to the element.
SOLUTION: The width size of a rubber sheet 7 is made shorter and the tip ends of ribs 9, which are formed on a holder 8 in a projecting manner, are formed so that the ends abut against a case 1. Thus, the load applied to the case 1 is received by the ribs 9 and no direct force is applied to a liquid crystal display element 4. Note that the sheet 7 is placed between the case 1 and the element 4 in a compressed condition so that no dust enters into the space between the element 4 and a display window and no sound is generated by an electroluminescence light 6. Thus, even though a stress is applied to the device, most of the stress is supported by the ribs 9, whose tip ends abut against the case 1, and no stress is directly applied to the element 4 through the sheet 7.
