Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an active matrix substrate which has excellent characteristics.
SOLUTION: The active matrix substrate having thin film transistors and pixel electrodes connected to the thin film transistors is characterized in that: the thin film transistors are connected to data lines and gate lines; the data lines and gate lines are made of a light shielding substance; and holding capacitors each of which uses an electrode connected to the pixel electrode as one electrode and a gate line as the other electrode are formed of the same light shielding material as that of the data line.
