Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lower cost display device without deteriorating a contrast as compared with a conventional display device.
SOLUTION: A black part is formed in the peripheral part of the mounting position of each surface mount type LED chip on a wiring board. Next, a mask part which has many apertures having approximately the same pitches as those of the many surface mount type LED chips and consists of one or more black platy mask members is positioned in the state where the light-emitting surfaces of the surface mount type LED chips can be exposed, and is held detachably on a display panel.
