Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device capable of directing a fresh outward appearance.SOLUTION: The display device includes a display plate 50, a translucent member 60 arranged in front of the display plate 50, and a light source 90 arranged behind the display plate 50. The translucent member 60 includes a body part 61 forming the main part of the translucent member 60 and a projected protruding part 62 provided in the front surface part P of the body part 61. The display plate 50 includes an impermeable layer 54 provided in a substrate 55, so as to correspond to the protruding part 62 and a ground color layer 53 which is provided in the substrate 55, so as to form the background of the impermeable layer 54 and whose tone is different from the tone of the impermeable layer 54. When the light source 90 is turned on and when the translucent member 60 is visually recognized from an observer side, a surface part 62a and a surrounding area surrounding the protruding part 62a are visually recognized so as to have the tone of the impermeable layer 54 and an inclined part 62b is visually recognized so as to have the tone of the ground color layer 53 by a reflection critical angle Y in the inclined part 62b.
