Abstract:
To provide a display device with which it is possible to reduce galling in the OLED of a display panel without causing a sense of discomfort to a user when moving a video.SOLUTION: Provided is a display device having a display panel 1 composed of a self-luminous element, wherein when a prescribed movement start condition is met, the display panel 1 is moved a prescribed amount of movement in a prescribed direction by a panel drive unit 3, and a displayed video is moved by the same amount of movement by a video movement unit 23 in a direction opposite the direction in which the display panel 1 is moved. Thus, it is possible to change the pixel group used for video display over a wider range than possible with conventional wobbling, suppress a dispersion in cumulative drive time, and distribute galling. Furthermore, as it appears that no change occurs to the display position of a video viewed by a user, a sense of discomfort due to video movement is not incurred.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
