PURPOSE: To generate a light display pattern by rotating a rotary member, provided on a substrate, about the substrate and controlling the rotating speed of the rotary member provided with a light emission device and the switching of the light emission device.

CONSTITUTION: The display device 10 is equipped with the substrate 11, a 1st rotary member 12 which is provided on the substrate 11 rotatably on a 1st axis 13 of rotation about the substrate 11 and a 2nd rotary member 14 provided on the member 12 rotatably on a 2nd axis 15 of rotation about the member 12. An electric motor 16 rotates the member 12 on the 1st axis 13 of rotation. The member 14 has its center fitted to an end part 19 of the member 12 by an electric motor 21 and the member 14 is equipped with a lighting device in the form of light emitting diodes 24. The switching of the diodes 24 is controlled in synchronism with the rotating speeds of the motors 16 and 21 and, for example, a constant light display pattern can be generated.
