PURPOSE: To provide the display device which is good-looking and high in article value even if a data transfer speed is limited.

CONSTITUTION: The display device consisting of a display data generating and transferring means 110, a display data holding means 400, and a display unit 500 is equipped with a process selecting means 120a which outputs a display flag signal together with a process data indication signal at a process request, a display flag memory 130 which stores and outputs the display flag signal until a display updating process is started, a display command means 140 which outputs a display command signal corresponding to the display flag signal during the display updating process, and a display switch means 420 which performs switching corresponding to the display command signal during the display updating process and make a display output to the display unit effective or ineffective.
