PURPOSE: To reduce a contrast irregularity on a screen and to decrease the occupation area, etc., of wiring by supplying a source voltage to a power line, which is common to the source voltage supply terminal array of a picture element driving part, at its intermediate position.
CONSTITUTION: A power supply line 20 which is led out of a pad 9 (input pin) is connected to or nearby the mid-point (C) of the power line 8 which is common to buffer arrays. Therefore, potentials at points (a) and (b) satisfy Va=Vc (namely, ΔV=0). The potential difference between the points (a) and (b) of each of the buffer arrays, in other words, the potential from adjacent pins of respective SEGs becomes zero, so that the whole voltage variation is as shown in a figure. Consequently, there is no irregularity in screen contrast at the display part of an LCD. One power supply line 20 is only used for one power line 8, so the occupation area of the power supply line 20 and the number of pads can be reduced.
