Abstract:

To suppress power consumption and enable display according to plural different specifications.

A display drive circuit 109 drives each of common terminals COM0-COM15 connected to a display element 114 by a scanning signal in a predetermined cycle, and drives each of segment terminals SEG0-SEG63 by a segment signal in synchronization with the scanning signal according to a display signal from a control circuit 108, thereby providing display corresponding to the display signal with the display element 114. At this time, each of the common terminals COM0-COM15 and each of the segment terminals SEG0-SEG63 can be driven separately, the common terminals COM0-COM15 are driven with the terminals divided into plural common terminal blocks, and the number of the division is variable.
