The display element comprises a plurality of pixels, therein, one pixel is made by laminating two parallel structures of color layer in which three kinds of colored layers having different colors to each other are arranged optically in parallel and the region of approx. 2/3 in area ratio can be displayed in the same color at the same time. Such an embodiment that the area occupied by three kinds of respective colored layers to the total area of the parallel structure is respectively approx. 1/3, such an embodiment that the colored layer can be reversibly decolored or colored, such an embodiment that the display is performed by a combination of additive color mixing of three primary colors and so on are preferably used.
