To make it possible to easily move or copy an object using a clipboard in a display interface particularly such as a zoom interface by which a screen varies continuously.

The display interface method provides a step in which a pointer indicating an object 33 selected by an input device is stored in a stored in a storage means, a step in which a small image 41 representing the object 33 indicated with the pointer is displayed as a forefront layer on a screen 30, and a step which continuously displays the unchanged small image 41 representing the object even when displays 31-33 of other layers are changed by zooming. A user operates by zooming to display destination locations for a copy or a move on the screen, and then enters, for instance, a 'paste' command. Thereby, the copy of the object is produced and the copy is pasted at the specified destination location for a copy or a move.
