PURPOSE: To attain thin profile of an equalizing characteristic display section and to decrease number of display elements by lighting two adjacent display elements so as to display an intermediate value of a characteristic compensation quantity instructed by a display element onto the two adjacent display elements.
CONSTITUTION: For example, five display elements for characteristic compensation display each are used for each frequency, and when the maximum characteristic compensation quantity is ≤+6dB and the minimum characteristic compensation quantity is ≥-6dB, the level interval between dots is selected as 3dB to display the characteristic compensation quantity. When the maximum characteristic compensation quantity is ≥+6dB or the minimum characteristic compensation quantity is ≤-6dB, the level interval between dots is selected as 6dB and the intermediate value (±3,6dB) of the characteristic compensation quantity instructed by the two adjacent display elements is displayed by lighting the two adjacent display elements. Thus, the number of display elements is decreased and the profile of the equalizing characteristic display section is made thin.
