To provide a display method of traffic jam prediction allowing a driver to quickly perform drive operation for avoiding or resolving a traffic jam by accurately predicting the traffic jam and displaying a prediction result easy to view and recognize for the driver.

The display method of traffic jam prediction includes the steps of: detecting acceleration of an own vehicle; calculating a power spectrum corresponding to frequency by frequency analysis of the detected acceleration; calculating a simple regression line of the calculated power spectrum, and calculating a maximum value of tilt variation in the simple regression line within a prescribed frequency range as a tilt maximum value; calculating the degree of traffic jam prediction at the front of the own vehicle corresponding to the tilt maximum value; and performing display according to the degree of traffic jam prediction.
