To obtain a display of moving footboards which prevents disturbance by elucidating the standing position occupying area segments of three passengers on treads of wide width and is capable of executing always distinct foot side display by an improvement in design characteristic and stable cleaning function.

This device is provided with many cleat grooves 3B in one direction of the surface and is provided with the moving footboards 3 having base plates 3C in the base parts of these cleat grooves 3B and comb plates 4 between the moving footboards 3 and step floors 2. The treads 3A of the moving footboards 3 are provided with front part displays 3a in their front parts (3AA) and rear part displays 3b in their rear parts (3BB). Both side parts thereof are provided with side part displays 3c and the positions trisecting the spacings between both side displays 3c are provided with central displays 3d. The color tones of these displays 3a to 3d are made different from the color tones of the treads described above, by which the block display is executed. The respective displays 3a to 3d are so constituted as to be cleaned by the cleaning devices located at the comb plate 4 portions.
