To improve the execution efficiency of a parallel plotting processor by reducing the overhead caused by the overlapped transfer of the same data and further decreasing the transfer amount by improving the compressibility of invalid data at a device for performing display processing by transferring a plotting data stream from a main processor to plural plotting processors enabling parallel processing.
A main processor 1 is provided with a means 3 for grouping data, group identification information is added to the data stream, and concerning the data stream in the same group, data are constituted without overlapping. The invalid data are converted into the same invalid value and compressed. The data stream of the same group is distributed by a distributing means 12 so as to be processed at the same plotting processor and at respective plotting processors 15 and 16, calculating processing is performed while referring to information transferred in the past as well.
