Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve the operability by scrolling a screen to the right only when undisplayed data are present on the right side, and scrolling the screen up or down, or left while maintaining the current right scrolling state and scrolling the screen up or down at a request for up-down scrolling.
CONSTITUTION: When the number of characters on a current display line on the screen exceeds the maximum number of display characters of a display device, the screen is scrolled right. When the number of the characters does not exceed the maximum number of the display characters, the screen is maintained as it is. Further, when the number of characters on the next display line on the screen exceeds the maximum number of the characters of the display device, the current right scrolling state is maintained and the screen is scrolled up. When the number of the characters does not exceed the maximum display character number, the screen is put back into the most left scroll screen and the display screen is scrolled up.
