PURPOSE: To reduce the size by incorporating two indication items into one bar graph display with indicators corresponding to a vehicle speed and the set speed.
CONSTITUTION: When the output signal (f) corresponding to the set speed is larger than the output signal (e) corresponding to a vehicle speed, a selector 9 turns a switch 10 to a terminal 10a. Consequently, vehicle speed signals from connection lines 131, 132... 13y activate corresponding segments 2 of a display 1 via an OR circuit 12b to perform a display as shown by the shade. As a signal corresponding to the set speed of a bar graph decoder 7 is confined to the connection line 11x of the maximum value, it activates the corresponding single segment 2 to perform a display as shown by the shade. But as only one display is available, in actuality, both displays are combined. Next, when the output signal (f) is equal to or less than the output signal (e), the output signal of a comparator circuit 6 switches the position over to the terminal 10b, signals of both the bar graph decoders 7 and 8 activate the corresponding segment 2 to perform a display as shown by the shade. But since signals passing the connection lines 11x and 13x coincide with each other through an EX-OR12a, the display is made with the corresponding segment 2 receiving none of electric field applied.
