To increase the degree of freedom for installation position and to effectively use the desk surface of a display support device at the time of nonuse by supporting a display at an arbitrary position by using a panel set in front of the disk.
This device is composed of a pole 4 having a suspension part 3, which can freely be fixed by being engaged with the upper edge 2a of the panel 2 stood in front of the desk 1, an arm means 5, which is supported thereupon horizontally, and a display mount base 7, where the flat display 6 provided atop of it can be mounted. A base lever 4b, which is set on the top surface of the desk 1 is fixed to the flank of the pole 4 in a fitting-height adjustable state to prevent slanting when a partial load is placed on the pole 4. An arm means 5 consists of an arm 15 and an arm 17, which extend horizontally from the side part of a base part 8 and are so supported as to swivel in a horizontal plane by a vertical shaft and the arm on the side of the display mount base 7 is connected to the tip of the arm 17. The mount base 7 is coupled with this arm by a horizontal shaft so that it can freely face up and down.
