PURPOSE: To reduce the power consumption by constituting the electronic equipment by connecting an electric feeding control circuit which interrupts a DC input voltage to the input side of a DC-DC converter.
CONSTITUTION: When an ON mode is set with a key 20 for mode setting, a mode control signal generated by a central processing unit 10 becomes active, the DC-DC converter 50 enters an operation state together with the electric feeding control circuit 40, and the central processing unit 10 in a warm-up state is put in operation, so that its processing contents are displayed on a fluorescent display tube 60. Further, when an OFF mode is set with the key 20 for mode setting, the mode control signal generated by the central processing unit 10 becomes inactive and the DC-DC converter 50 turns off together with the electric feeding control circuit 40; and no display is therefore made on the fluorescent display tube 60, the central processing unit 10 is put back into the warm-up state again, and a backup memory function operates. Consequently, the power consumption is reduced.
