PURPOSE: To drive a liquid crystal display panel with a general-purpose LSI having less terminal numbers, by fitting two pairs of signal electrode driving LSIs to a display driving circuit substrate of a double matrix liquid crystal display panel.

CONSTITUTION: A double matrix type dot matrix liquid crystal display panel 181 is divided into four blocks a∼d, 1/4 each. A signal electrode driving LSI is connected respectively to terminals Y1∼Y80, Y'1∼Y'80, Y81∼Y160, Y'81∼Y'160 of the signal electrode of the blocks a∼d and each 1/4 of the liquid crystal display panel is driven. Then, (320+α) number of terminals (where; α is used for control) are driven by using the small-sized LSI having 100 terminal numbers.
