A control circuit 8 controls turning on/off of the LED array 1 with the rotation timing of a polyhedron mirror 2, in which the light from the LED array 1 is reflected and received by the semiconductor position sensor 6 without performing display, and from the light received by the semiconductor sensor, a display position is detected and turning on/off timing for preventing jitter is adjusted by the control circuit 8.
