Abstract:
To provide a display unit that can stably display virtual images different in a projection position including a depth direction at the start of a projection operation, at the stop of the projection operation, and in switching of the projection mode.SOLUTION: A head-up display device 200 as a display unit comprises: a display element 11 that displays images; an optical system that enlarges and projects the images formed by the display element 11; a projection distance changing unit that changes the projection distance of the images; a display control unit 18 that controls the operation of the display element 11; and a monitoring unit 70 that monitors the drive state of the projection distance changing unit. At the start of a projection operation, at the end of the projection operation, and in switching of the projection operation, the head-up display device causes the display control unit 18 to operate the display element 11 in synchronization with the drive state of the projection distance changing unit detected by the monitoring unit 70.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
