Abstract:
To obtain even brightness over the whole display surface by eliminating the shading due to the time constant determined by the drive wiring resistance and parasitic capacitance.
In an active matrix display 10 which is a matrix of pixels 20 including organic EL elements 21, i.e. current driven electro-optical elements. It uses signals having the same rising and trailing wave form at the top and end of the line writing scanning circuit 40 of the scanning lines 31-1 to 31-m for the writing signals WS1-WSm outputted from the line writing scanning circuit 40. More specifically, it uses the signals consisting of fundamental waves of the signals obtained by rounding sinusoidal, trapezoidal wave, and square waves.
