PURPOSE: To clearly observe overspeeding or the like by changing the size of display or the color in response to the speed of a vehicle when displaying the information of an instrument panel of the vehicle overlappingly with the front scenery on the driver's line of sight.
CONSTITUTION: During the ordinary operation when a vehicle is run within the preset car speed (e.g., 100km/h), the display of the first speed meter 10 is reflected by a combiner 12 and fed to the eyes 14 of a driver. The driver can observe the virtual image 15 of the display of the first speed meter 10 overlappingly with the front scenery. On the other hand, when the vehicle exceeds the preset car speed, the second speed meter 11 and a lens 13 are moved in the direction A and inserted into an optical path respectively. The display of the second speed meter 11 is expanded by the lens 13 and reflected by the combiner 12 and fed to the eyes 14 of the driver. The driver can observe the expanded virtual image of the display of the second speed meter 11 overlappingly with the front scenery.
