The absorber 4 is formed of an upper layer absorber part 10 and a lower layer absorber part 11, and the width-direction size of the upper layer absorber part 10 is formed larger at least than the width size of the lower layer absorber part 11. At the center of the width-direction of the upper layer absorber part 10, a non-absorbing space part 12 which is longer in its longitudinal direction than its width direction is formed. The lower layer absorber part 11 is arranged in the non-absorbing space part 12 of the upper layer absorber part 10. In the non-absorbing space part 12 of the upper layer absorber part 10, a diffusion layer 13 is arranged between the liquid-permeable surface sheet 2 and the lower layer absorber part 11.
