Abstract:
This disposable diaper has a vertical direction and a lateral direction intersecting with the vertical direction, and includes: an outer layer sheet (20) that includes a front body portion (30), a back body portion (40), and a crotch portion (50) which is positioned between the front body portion (30) and the back body portion (40), the front body portion (30) and the crotch portion (50) being joined and the back body portion (40) and the crotch portion (50) being joined; and an absorbent main body (10) which extends across from the front body portion (30) to the back body portion (40) and which absorbs excrement. The disposable diaper is characterized in that: a front body side edge (31) in the lateral direction of the front body portion (30) and a back body side edge (41) in the lateral direction of the back body portion (40) are joined together; the crotch portion (50) is provided with crotch leg gathers (54) which are not joined to the absorbent main body (10); and a joined portion (62) between the front body portion (30) and the crotch portion (50) is positioned, in the vertical direction, on a side further to the crotch portion (50) than an end (31b) of the front body side edge (31) on the side toward the crotch portion (50).
