To obtain an inexpensive differential pressure converter for measuring the difference of pressure levels, both of which are not required to be the atmospheric pressure level, by forming a chamber and the like in a plastic molded housing.
A housing 12 is injection molded of a plastic material and can be mass produced easily at low cost. Through paths 30, 32 for upper and lower sections 26, 28 are formed in the housing 12. First and second chambers 34, 36 communicating with the through paths 30, 32, respectively, are also formed. A pressure detecting means, i.e., an electronic chip 38, flexes depending on the pressure difference between first and second chambers 34, 36. Output from the chip 38 is connected through a bonding wire 44 with a wire 46 which is connected through a plug 16 with an external cable 14 and a monitor. This differential pressure converter can be manufactured inexpensively and can be disposed after use.
