PURPOSE: To easily feed tea leaves and stabilize the position in a tea cup by making highly rigid the periphery of opening in which tea leaves are fed, than a flexible filter, and making it possible to deform it so as to become protrusive outward in the radial direction.

CONSTITUTION: A tea filter 1 is provided with a bag filter 3 made of flexible and water permeable sheet 2 folded into two and superposed and further the top 5 with an opening 4, the bottom 6 including the folded line of the sheet 2, and right and left side edges 9, 10 including the joining line 8 mutually connecting the folded and superposed sheet 2. The sheet 2 is folded back outward along the periphery of the opening 4. The front end thereof and right and left edges are connected to the side face 3A to form a pair of enclosed bags 12. A highly rigid belt sheet 11 than the sheet 2 constituting the filter 3 is inserted along the periphery of the opening 4. Accordingly, the belt sheet 11 can be deformed almost permanently between both side edges 9, 10 so that at least one position gets protrusive outward in the radial direction.
