To provide a disposal apparatus for injection needles which sterilizes the injection needles by heating, with which easy and safe disposal of the injection needles and reduction of disposal cost are achieved by collecting the injection needles and needle bases separately.
The injection needle and the needle base are configured separately. The needle base is bonded to the proximal end of the injection needle, and the injection needle is installed onto a body of a syringe via the needle base. The disposal apparatus is provided with a gripping means for gripping the injection needle. When an electric current is passed through the injection needle via an electrode equipped on the gripping means, the bonded part between the injection needle and the needle base is melted. The injection needle and the needle base can thus be collected separately.
