To provide a distal end an electronic endoscope capable of connecting a signal line drawn from the tip end of a signal cable to a connection terminal part of a circuit board with excellent workability easily without causing any disconnection, leakage or the like.

At the distal end of the electronic endoscope, the circuit board 6 is arranged to be adjacent to the rear side of a solid-state imaging element 5 which is incorporated in the tip end part 2 of an insertion part 1 and the plurality of signal lines 11(11a, 11b) drawn from the signal cable 10, which is put through the insertion part 1, are connected to the connection terminal part 13 arranged on the circuit board 6. The rear end part of the circuit board 6 is formed to be a columnar or cylindrical shape, where an axis 13x is in parallel with the axis of the tip end part 2 of the insertion part 1, and its outer peripheral surface part is defined as the connection terminal part 13.
