Abstract:
PURPOSE:To always achieve accurate measurement of distance without errors regardless of the direction of laser machining an object to be machined, by arranging a distance measuring apparatus body having a projector section and a light receiving section to be movable with respect to a machining head. CONSTITUTION:A distance measuring apparatus body 11 is provided with a projector section 12 which has a light source 5 for measurement and a projection lens 7 and a light receiving section 13 which has a light receiving lens 8 and a light receiving element 9. For a higher laser machining efficiency, a laser machining is performed while controlling the distance l between a machining head 2 and the surface of work 4 to a fixed value. When the light receiving section 13 is positioned rear with respect to the advancing direction of machining the work 4, a location the most liable to the effect of a machining light, a driving section 15 is operated to turn the distance measuring apparatus body 11 with respect to the machining head 2 so that the light receiving section 13 is moved to a position least affected by the machining light or the like. This always enables accurate measurement of the distance l without causing errors during the laser machining.
