Abstract:

To provide distance measuring equipment capable of measuring the distance to a target wile hiding existence of own self to the distance measurement target.

A GPS antenna 101 receives GPS radio waves (direct waves) directly propagated from a satellite; a satellite position/own aircraft position process part 104 processes the position of the satellite and that of own aircraft etc., on the basis of GPS information contained in the direct radio waves; a infrared ray receiver 105 receives the infrared ray radiated from the aircraft 2; a searching/tracking process part 106 specifies the position of the aircraft 2; an antenna direction controller 108 makes the radar antenna 109 direct to the direction of the aircraft 2 for receiving the GPS radio waves (reflected waves) reflected by the aircraft 2; a correlation process part 111 compares the signal of direct waves and the signals of reflected waves, calculates the difference of the distances based on the delayed time of the reflected waves; and a distance process part 112 calculates the distance to the aircraft 2 from the own aircraft positional information, the satellite positional information, and the distance difference information, and the target directional information.
