Abstract:
A surgical finishing rasp has an elongated shaft with a bore formed in it. The bore has an open end defined in a distal end of the elongated shaft and a blind end positioned proximally of the open end within the elongated shaft. A handle is secured to an opposite, proximal end of the elongated shaft. A cutting head is secured to, and extending away from, the distal end of the shaft. The cutting head is arcuate in shape so as to extend around only a section of the circumference of the elongated shaft defining the open end of the bore, and has a plurality of linear cutting teeth that extend along the length of the cutting head.
