To provide a distillation system essentially reducing risks of pressure increase or flaring of the distillation system caused by complete missing of a cooling source of gas taken out of the vicinity of a top of a distillation tower.
The distillation system includes a distillation tower body, a reboiler, a steam condensate tank temporarily storing steam condensate and feeding it to a steam generator, and the steam generator generating steam by heating steam condensate generated in the reboiler by using the gas taken out of the vicinity of the top the distillation tower as a heating source. The distillation system includes the following features (1), (2): (1). steam condensate in the steam condensate tank is fed to the steam generator without using a pump; (2). steam condensate generated in the reboiler is fed to the steam condensate tank by self-pressure without using a pump.
