Abstract:
To improve accuracy of distortion compensation.
A distortion compensation apparatus 10 compensates for signal distortion that occurs in an amplifier. A storage 11 stores a plurality of compensation coefficients used for distortion compensation. A selector 12 selects a compensation coefficient corresponding to an index value indicating a power level of a signal from among the plurality of compensation coefficients. The selector 12 determines whether or not the power level exceeds a threshold value, and uses a first index value which is calculated without using logarithmic operation, or a second index value which is calculated by using logarithmic operation, in accordance with a determination result.
