PURPOSE: To suppress only a distortion component effectively without attenuating an original signal component by canceling distortion generated due to the nonlinearity of the element of the final stage by previously distorting it so that the same level and opposite phase will be obtained.

CONSTITUTION: Television signals, input from input terminal 1, enter distortion generator 2. Output signals of distortion generator 2 are filtered by brnaching through channel-dedicated band-pass filters 3, 6...9, outputs of which are input to phase adjusters 4, 7...10. Phase adjusters 4, 7...10 have adjusting circuits that can set a distortion component, generated by circuit 12 with nonlinearity, to a phase difference of a half wavelength. Outputs of phase adjusters 4, 7...10 are input to and mixed by mixers 5, 8...11.
