Title:
DISTORTION CORRECTION CIRCUIT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH06125313
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a distortion correction circuit effective to correction of distortion in a signal including an odd-order number harmonic distortion by forming the circuit having a hyperbolic function input output characteristic with bipolar transistors(TRs) having an exponential function input output characteristic.

CONSTITUTION: A voltage at a resistor R3 at a connecting point between a PNP TR1 and an NPN TR2 is expressed in terms of AC in equation I, where b is a constant, K is a Boltzmann's constant, T is an absolute temperature, q is a unit charge, and v is a base-emitter voltage. The input output characteristic of the distortion correction circuit is adjusted by adjusting the resistance of a resistor R2 to change a bias point of the TR1, TR2. Thus, a bias is set optimizingly to decrease the distortion caused actually by setting properly the resistance of the resistor R2. Furthermore, a temperature at a bias point of the base voltage of the TR1, TR2 is compensated by diodes D1, D2 and the a distortion correction characteristic effective over a wide temperature range is obtained.
