Abstract:

To reduce a noise generated resulting from the opening and closing operation of an electromagnetic spill valve, in a distributed fuel injection pump.

A high rigidity pump housing 81 is composed by integrating and unifying a conventional pump housing and a conventional governor cover. A conventional thin governor cover is abolished. As a result, a vibration generated in the repeating time of the seating and the removal of an electromagnetic spill valve 42 is reduced, and a pump noise can be reduced effectively. A pump angle sensor 82 to detect the rotation speed of a feed pump 36 is installed integrally in the high rigidity pump housing 81, and from a drive shaft 8 to carry out a relative rotation movement to the sensor part 84 of the pump angle sensor 82, the sensor part 84 detects the rotation movement. Consequently, a wire form lead line to connect the connector and the sensor part of the pump angle sensor is abolished, and the installing part number of the perhpheral parts of the pump angle sensor is reduced, so as to improve the production assembly property.
