Abstract:
To provide a distributed optical fiber sensor capable of measuring accurately a stain caused by hydraulic pressure.
The distributed optical fiber sensor is bundled with at least one first sensing part of a hydraulic strain detecting optical fiber surrounded with a flexible material, and at least one second sensing part of a longitudinal-directional strain measuring optical fiber surrounded with a flexible material, via a slot, and those are collectively coated by a sheath. A temperature compensating optical fiber is stored in the slot under a condition not fixed to the respective sensing parts together with a tensile strength fiber.
