Abstract:
PURPOSE: To surely detect an unusual condition of perforation and to correct it by opening a cover so as to perform accurate cutting by providing a partly cutting means of the perforation and detecting the opened part of the perforation by means of a non-contacting type sensor. CONSTITUTION: A shaft 18c is hung between rollers 20 and 28 between arms 18a and 18a and a reflective non-contacting type sensor RF is fixed at the central part and immediately after the sensor RF detects that a paper exists, a delivery roller 37 and a drawing-and-delivery roller 38 are rotated at high and low speeds, respectively to deliver the apex of the paper towel. When an opened part 4a is detected before a preset value for the amt. of delivery of the paper is counted up, a counter for the number of teeth starts to count by the preset value and delivery of the paper is finished under a condition where the paper is out from the cover 3 by a specified amt., e.g. by 1. When the paper towel is cut under this condition, a force is applied on the opened part 4a and the paper towel can accurately be cut from the perforation.
