Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distributing type fuel injection pump capable of easily and securely preventing an excessive fuel injection due to a full close trouble of a spill solenoid valve.
SOLUTION: A distributing type fuel injection pump is formed so that a fuel feed stop member 50 is arranged between an suction port 33 and a suction path 34 and a spill pressure produced inside the suction port 33 is utilized so as to prevent a communication between the suction port 33 and suction path 34 when the spill solenoid valve is under full close trouble. By this, an excessive fuel injection can be prevented easily and securely, and also the overrunning of a diesel, engine can be prevented. Also the fuel feed stop member 50 comprises a pump housing 11, a piston 54, an O-ring 53, and a plug 55. Because the structure is simple, designing is made easier, and man-hour for assembly can be reduced so as to provide an inexpensive fuel injection pump. In addition, because an annular groove 52a communicated with a piston path 52 is formed on the outer periphery of the piston 54, fuel is sucked into a pressurizing chamber 13 stably.
