Abstract:

To distribute a pickup between an unmanned driving vehicle and a passenger.SOLUTION: A shipment command for sending a vehicle to a prescribed pickup area in order to pickup a passenger is received by the vehicle starting an operation to the prescribed pickup area. Whereas such reception is performed as mentioned, the vehicle receives a position of a device from a client computing device of the passenger. A display with the content that the passenger has an interest in a fly-by-pickup is recognized. The fly-by-pickup allows the passenger to safely enter the vehicle at the position outside the prescribed pickup area before one or more processors move the vehicle to the prescribed pickup area. The vehicle determines that the fly-by-pickup is appropriate on the basis of at least the position and the display of the client computing device, and moves itself in order to try the fly-by-pickup on the basis of the determination.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
