Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide configuration information concerning a network service as against a client in a distribution-type calculating system.
CONSTITUTION: The distribution-type calculating system using a data communication network has multiple service providers providing a prescribed service. The client 11 in the network refers to name service and obtains the network address of the providers. In the case of having a request, name service keeps the configuration profile of the service providers in order to select one of some service providers.
