PURPOSE: To lubricate and cool a sliding contact part between a distribution rotor and a cylinder so as to prevent any seizure between the distribution rotor and the cylinder by supplying low pressure fuel to the rear end part space part of the distribution rotor.
CONSTITUTION: A variable capacity chamber 87 which is formed inside of an accumulator cap 85 and a rotor rear end chamber 88 which is formed on the rear end of a distribution rotor 13 communicate with each other by an orifice 89 which is formed in the center part of the accumulator cap 85. Pressure of fuel which is supplied from a vane type feed pump to the variable capacity chamber 87 through an intake gallery 14 is reduced at the time of passing the orifice 89, and becomes low pressure in the rotor end rear chamber 88. Fuel whose pressure is reduced permeates between the end part outer wall of the distribution rotor 13 and the inner wall of the cylinder 6, and lubricates the end part outer wall of the distribution rotor 13 and the inner wall of the cylinder 6, and also cools the distribution rotor 13 getting a high temperature, by making sliding contact with the inner wall of the cylinder 6.
