Title:
DISTRIBUTOR TYPE FUEL-INJECTION PUMP
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2003247472
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To solve the problem that a flyweight washer is apt to wear because it is held between a flyweight and a governor sleeve, and a relative sliding occurs between the both, and the flyweight washer wears as lubricity of fuel decreases owing to reduction of sulfur.

A chromium plating is applied at the surface of the flyweight washer 46 formed of carbon tool steel of hard material, surface strength of the flyweight washer 46 is made higher than that of the carbon tool steel. The chromium plating is provided with an effect for increasing the surface strength as well as an effect for lessening surface friction coefficient. Therefore, the wear of the flyweight washer 46 can be prevented even under a condition where the lubricity of the fuel lowers. As a result, even when the lubricity of the fuel lowers, adjusting error of fuel injection rate is prevented from occurring for the long period so as to increase reliability of a distributor type fuel-injection pump.
