Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL: A compd. expressed by formula I (wherein R is 1 to 20C alkyl, 5 to 12C cycloalkyl, benzyl, phenyl, etc.; R1 is R, anilino, etc.; R2 is phenyl, etc.), formula II (X is o-phenylene or 2 to 4C alkylene), formula III (R3 is lower alkyl or lower alkoxy; R4 is 1 to 5C carboalkoxy, etc.), formula, IV (R5 is 1 to 5C carboalkoxy or substd. carbamoyl).
EXAMPLE: α-Acetyl-α,α-di(phenylthio)acetanilide.
USE: Component of an improved rubber compsn. which can be vulcanized and in which vulcanization in an early stage is inhibited.
PREPARATION: Sulfenyl chloride is allowed to react with an active methylene compd. in the presence of an acid acceptor (e.g. triethylamine).
