Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a divided cage which can reduce rotation torque resulting from contact between a cage segment and an end face of a roller, and a roller bearing.SOLUTION: A divided cage 5 comprises a plurality of cage segments 6 which define and form a pocket 25 for accommodating a roller 4 by a pair of rim parts 21, 22 and a pair of column parts 23, 24. A plurality of the cage segments 6 are annularly aligned along a peripheral direction in an annular space between an inner ring 2 and an outer ring 3. The cage segments 6 comprise protruded bodies 7, 8 which are protruded to the inside of an axial direction at side faces 21a, 22a of a pair of the rim parts 21, 22 at pocket sides. The protruded bodies 7, 8 have contact parts 71b to 73b, 81b to 83b which contact with end faces 4a, 4b of the roller 4, and non-contact parts 71a to 73a, 81a to 83a which do not contact with the end faces 4a, 4b.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
